Karin Derrick

Karin Derrick came to Sparks Consulting with a diverse coaching background and a desire to help parents and students feel more confident about the college admissions process. Karin graduated from Washington State University where she earned a B.A. in Sports Management and minored in human development. Her coaching resume includes both basketball and rowing at the high school level. She also served as a coach for the US Rowing Women’s Junior National Team Development Camp.

With a strong love for meeting new people and learning about unique perspectives, the counseling coordinator role was practically made for Karin. She enjoys explaining the product offerings to families and helping them determine if the services are a good fit for them. She is also in charge of connecting students with one of the counseling associates based on the individual’s goals and compatibility.
